Hub Residency Wins Inclusion Award for Community Building

We are proud to share the exciting news that the 2024-25 Hub residency “Parental Incarceration and Children’s Human Rights” won the Inclusion Award for Community Building from the Association of Professional Schools in International Affairs (APSIA). 

This project is a collaboration between CLA’s Human Rights Program and Minneapolis nonprofit Children of Incarcerated Caregivers to address the pressing issue of parental incarceration and the consequences of a system that doesn’t prioritize children’s rights. Throughout the research and policy development process, the project centered the voices of those most directly affected by incarceration policies, including formerly incarcerated parents and adult children impacted by parental incarceration.
