Multiple Partitive as a Distinct Phenomenon: Evidence from Russian

Zach Lorang successfully defended his masters' thesis Multiple Partitive as a Distinct Phenomenon: Evidence from Russian! His committee members were Professors Diti Bhadra (chair), Brian Reese, and Mandy Menke. Zach's thesis is the first detailed and formal semantic and pragmatic analysis of multiple partitive constructions in Russian (following up on Haspelmath's (1997) typological observations about the phenomena). Zach also applies his findings in Russian to Basque, discovering interesting similarities and differences between the two languages with respect to this complex phenomenon. Congratulations, Zach!
