Professional Development Panel: Finding Effective Topics for Research

Finding a good research topic is often half the battle won. How do we make sure we are finding and pursuing interesting, deep, and rewarding questions in our academic research? Four faculty members of the Institute of Linguistics will share their recommendations for finding and refining research topics. This topic emerged as one of the winners in our Professional Development Series poll, chosen by graduate students. All students (graduate or undergraduate) and all researchers welcome!
