Computational Linguistics Reading Group

The computational linguistics reading group meets weekly to discuss current research in computational linguistics. The group draws participants from both the University community and local industry.  For more information, contact Brian Reese.

Hmong Linguistics Reading Group

The research/reading group on Hmong linguistics is a project in partnership with Pang Yang (Hmong for native speakers teacher, Park Central High School, Brooklyn Park), Jenna Cushing-Leubner (Assistant Professor, College of Education, UW-Whitewater) and the Lub Zej Zog project to offer continuing education credits to Hmong language teachers in the K-12 system.  The group, whose members include faculty, graduate and undergraduate students in Linguistics, meets weekly to discuss research on Hmong linguistics and develop materials for presentations to Hmong language teachers, who join the group at regular intervals over the course of the year.  If you would like to be involved in the group or would like further information, please contact Hooi Ling Soh.

Syntax/Prosody Reading Group

A reading group on syntax/prosody meets to discuss papers or book is in the fields of syntactic and prosodic theory.  For more information, contact Claire Halpert.
