Balkan Traditional Music Workshop & Q&A with Teofilovici and Mila Vocal Ensemble

Teofilovići (a capella duo from Serbia) and Mila Vocal ensemble will present workshop on Balkan traditional music. They will teach few easy songs and introduce the style (odd meters, characteristic ornaments and other elements of Balkan music). Songs and dances are from Balkan countries: Serbia, Macedonia, Croatia, and Bulgaria. At the end of the workshop there will be a Q and A session with members of both ensembles. They will be joined my faculty member Maja Radovanlija (Guitar). This workshop is open for all students, majors and non majors and community members interested in this style of World music.
