Virtual Pipe Organ Demonstration & Tutorial

On August 31, 2023, the School of Music completed Phase I of our Virtual Pipe Organ project, taking delivery of a custom builtVPO by Arnold Custom Organs of Barnum, MN. The console mirrors the layout and functionality of the Northrop Auditorium Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ. In addition to serving the education needs of the School of Muisc, this instrument will be a resource for all organizations that use Ted Mann Concert Hall. TheVPO currently has sample sets from three historic pipe organs (Arp Schnitger - Zwolle, Cavaillé-Coll - Caen, HenryWills - Salisbury Cathedral). Later this year, Evensong Music will deliver its newest sample set for the organ in Northrop Auditorium.
