2017 Collage Concert and Campaign for the Liberal Arts Kickoff
Thank you for an exceptional evening of celebration at the Collage Concert as we launched Shattering Expectations: The Campaign for Liberal Arts.
This musical extravaganza featured more than 300 student and faculty performances by choral, orchestral, jazz, chamber, world music, and wind ensembles, as well as solo performances by faculty and students. Infused with energy from the Shattering Expectations campaign launch, this year’s non-stop musical showcase also featured stories of alumni, students, faculty, and community members describing the life-changing work happening in CLA.
Leading the evening’s program was University of Minnesota President Eric Kaler, CLA Dean John Coleman, School of Music Director Michael Kim, and Deborah Hopp and Christopher Dahl, CLA Campaign co-chairs.
The program featured Grainger's "Lincolnshire Posey," Bernstein's "Make Our Garden Grow," Berlioz's "March to the Scaffold," Dorio's "All Is," selections from Mozart's opera "Idomeneo," solo performances by School of Music students and faculty, and more. Complete program at z.umn.edu/musicprograms
