Guest Gordon Ostrowski's Opera Residency at the U of M School of Music

Gordon Ostrowski
University Opera Theatre and Opera Workshop students participated in a two-day residency this past week with Opera Theatre Director Emeritus Gordon Ostrowski of the Manhattan School of Music. Mr. Ostrowski, a colleague of David Walsh (voice) at the summer opera program, Opera Viva, based in Verona, Italy, offered instruction in 18th-century acting and movement style for the lyric stage, as well as providing one-on-one counseling of our opera students regarding the business of opera and resume design. Ostrowski's visit was supported by a U of M School of Music special events grant and the Schuessler Vocal Arts Fund.
