Professor Fernando Meza Judges Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Young Artists Competition
While on sabbatical in Costa Rica researching the traditional marimba of the country, Fernando Meza (percussion) traveled to Chicago as one of three judges of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Young Artists Competition. Students specializing in winds, brass, and percussion competed for a chance to perform as soloists with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra next season.
