Professor Kelley Harness's Recent Article and Presentation
Kelley Harness (musicology) recently published an article entitled “Theatrical Reliquaries: Afterlives of St Mary Magdalene in Early Seventeenth-century Florence” in Biblical Reception (2018). In April she read her paper “Laboring for Hercules: Constructing a Horse Ballet in Mid-Seventeenth-Century Florence” at the annual meeting of the Society for Seventeenth-Century Music, held in Boulder, Colorado. This summer she will also present aspects of her research on the Florentine horse ballets at the Biennial Baroque conference in Cremona, Italy.
