PSEO Student Charles Menken's Grammy Jazz Band Audition

Charles Menken (PSEO, saxophone, student of Preston Duncan) recently auditioned on YouTube for the national high school honor jazz band that will perform at the Grammy Awards ceremony in February 2019. The audition, featuring improvisation in multiple styles, may be watched on YouTube. Charles is backed up by his brother and bassist Harry Menken (PSEO, double bass, student of Dave Williamson). 

Charles is lead tenor sax in the U of M Jazz Ensemble II (Dean Sorenson director). Harry is a member of the University Symphony Orchestra and U of M Jazz Ensemble II.
