School of Music hosts first-ever International Summer Institute for Reggae Studies

Led by Professor Scott Currie, the School of Music was honored to host North America’s first-ever International Summer Institute for Reggae Studies at the University of Minnesota (June 24-28). School of Music Professors Scott Currie, Akosua Addo, Paul Shaw, and Michael Kim welcomed to campus the Honorable Olivia Grange, CD, MP, Jamaica’s Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport; Mr. Marlon Williams, Senior Education Officer in the Core Curriculum Unit of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information, and members of their delegation.
