Student Ahmed Anzaldúa's Border CrosSing Presents "El Mesías" on December 15
Ahmed Anzaldúa's (DMA, choral conducting, student of Kathy Saltzman Romey and Matthew Mehaffey) Border CrosSing presents El Mesías, a bilingual (Spanish-English) version of Handel's Messiah with insertions of choral-orchestral works composed and premiered in Mexico during Handel's lifetime, on Friday, December 15 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (St. Paul). This performance features soloists Carrie Henneman Shaw (DMA, 2009/MM, 2005, voice) Timothy Faatz, Nicholas Chalmers (MM, 2017, voice), and Justin Staebell (DMA, voice); a chorus made up in equal parts of singers from Border CrosSing and the Minnesota Chorale; and a professional orchestra.
