About the Teachers

For this class, Immanuel is joined by Christina Smith, principal flutist of the Atlanta Symphony, and Catherine Ramierz, flutist and artist-in-residence at St. Olaf. Together, they will be conducting daily performance masterclasses and giving private lessons throughout the week.

About the Class

We will be having classes on all aspects of flute playing - scales, articulation, breathing, and practice techniques. There will be classes on specific solo pieces, orchestral excerpts as well as "free-form" masterclasses where you can play anything you want. We will also have at least one "Q&A" session where you can ask any question to our faculty you have about flute playing, practice, college prep, or career.
