The Complete Flutist 2020

The Complete Flutist will be offered online this summer!  

June 15-19, 2020 


The Complete Flutist, a five-day intensive flute workshop at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis is now offered online! In this setting, everyone will still benefit from group classes and individual attention. Open to flutists of all levels and ages!

About the Teachers
For this class, Immanuel is joined by Christina Smith, principal flutist of the Atlanta Symphony and Catherine Ramierz, flutist and artist-in-residence at St. Olaf. Together, they will be conducting daily performance master classes and giving private lessons throughout the week. 

About the Class

We will be having classes on all aspects of flute playing - scales, articulation, breathing and practice techniques. There will be classes on specific solo pieces, orchestral excerpts as well as "free-form" master classes where you can play anything you want. We will also have at least one "Q&A" session where you can ask any question to our faculty you have about flute playing, practice, college prep or career.

Application & Cost

  • Tuition: $250 for the week. 
    • $125 for auditors.

Open to only 20 performers.
