Join the College of Liberal Arts and the Department of English for an evening of thrills and chills! Experience the terror of texts about ghosts, witches, and the undead! We've prepared for you an evening of spine-tingling readings, from Beowulf and Dracula to original writing by English and Creative Writing professors.

Your evening begins in the historic Pillsbury Hall - beware the gargoyles as you enter! Enjoy a reception of frightfully tasty bites and a cash bar, bewitching music, and spooky activities. Print your own commemorative bookmark with Bohemian Press. Strike a pose in our haunting photo booth.

At 8:00 PM, climb the stairs in the turret to reach the attic for the evening’s literary program (elevator also available). English faculty, local actors, and students will bring to life a variety of chilling tales. Capping off the evening will be a reading by the winner of a student ghost story competition.
