Alumni Named Among Business Journal's 40 Under 40 for 2016

Casey Hankinson (BA '15, speech-communication), as Ryan Cos. US Inc.'s vice president of development, had four of his projects in the Twin Cities area win the Commercial Real Estate Development Association NAIOP Award of Excellence. He also serves as a board member for the Jack Jablonski BEL13VE in Miracles Foundation, raising money to support those suffering from spinal injury in addition to other community work.
Joe Hobot (BA '02, history and film studies), as president and CEO of Minneapolis-based American Indian OIC, has led the organization in helping over 2,000 people train for and secure employment in in-demand careers, and American Indian OIC’s credit-eligible high school seniors have achieved a graduation rate of 85 percent in an area where the four-year graduation rate for Native students hovers around 20 percent.
Muneer Karcher-Ramos (BA '08, political science and sociology) serves as senior director of the Saint Paul Promise Neighborhood, a community program of the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation that seeks to use education as the lever that will help change the odds for children. Under his leadership since 2013, the program’s budget has grown from $700,000 to $4.1 million.
