Hanna Worku is majoring in economics and minoring in French. Along with 120 other US undergraduate and graduate students, Hanna served as a student ambassador at the USA Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015.

Selected out of a pool of over 1,000 applicants, the student ambassadors represented 94 different universities, 34 states, and diverse language skills, together speaking 28 languages. They facilitated conversations with guests about the Expo theme, "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life," and gave tours to a variety of international dignitaries, business leaders, and celebrities, including First Lady Michelle Obama and the presidential delegation who visited the USA Pavilion on June 18, 2015.

"Meeting her was so amazing!" says Hanna.
