Dr. Edward J. Olszewski has earned a reputation world-wide as a preeminent expert on Italian Renaissance art. He is the former chair of the art history department and emeritus professor of art history at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is the founder of the Midwest Art History Society as well as a prolific author of seminal scholarly works and a frequent international lecturer. He has been highly decorated, including Fulbright-Hays and National Endowment for the Humanities fellowships and the American Philosophical Society’s prestigious John Frederick Lewis Award. Upon his retirement in 2010, he created the Edward J. Olszewski Graduate Student Travel Fund.
