What is your favorite class that you took in CLA? Is there a professor that you particularly enjoyed working with? How did they prepare you for the next phase of your life?

I really enjoyed the health psychology class that I took my first spring semester on campus. I ended up becoming interested in the professor's lab and am now doing research under one of that professor's graduate students which is really fun.

How would you describe your time in your major?

I have enjoyed the variety of classes that I have been able to take. I feel that I am more knowledgeable in regards to researching scholarly articles and analyzing them.

What have you learned about yourself during your time in CLA?

I have learned that I enjoy involving myself in different activities to keep my curiosity growing. Also, the Psychology BS degree has allowed me to take all of the prerequisites that I need in order to apply for physician assistant school.

If you could go back and give your first-year self one piece of advice, what would it be?

I would tell myself to enjoy the moment and to take classes that I find really interesting. It goes by so fast.

What's next for you? What are your post-graduation plans?

After graduation, I am going to be working as a medical scribe/assistant at a dermatology clinic just north of Boston for a year or two. I will be gaining hours and experience needed to apply to physician assistant programs.
