How did your classes change to accommodate distance learning and other needs? What do you miss about being on campus?

My professors were extremely understanding of the emotional toll that this pandemic has had and were very accommodating of extensions. Having the Zoom lectures posted and weekly emails about what was due was very helpful. I miss the routine of in-person classes, seeing friends, and feeling motivated to do work.

What has meant the most to you or been helpful during this time? Who would you like to thank?

The Emergency U-Fund was very helpful! My advisors at work were great—I would like to shout out Becky Mohn at 17th Hall and Matt Hefty at Territorial. They have been supportive and understanding throughout all of this!

What are you doing to care for your physical and mental health these days?

I have teletherapy every week, which has been helpful, as well as making to-do lists of small things I've put off for a while.

What keeps you going even in a discouraging situation?

Honestly, I'm just a very competitive and motivated person. Also, I'm financially independent, so I have to work.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

I'm from NYC and have not seen my family since January. Without my friends, I would not have been able to do what I have since the pandemic. Thank you to all my incredible friends! Having them as a support system has meant the world to me!
