Philosophy Career Alumni Roundtable

Event Date & Time
| -
All undergraduates in philosophy courses are encouraged to attend the Philosophy Alumni Career Roundtable. During this event, we will hear from a number of UMN Philosophy Department alumni speaking about their career paths after graduating with their philosophy degrees. Their stories can help you as you plan for your life after graduation by giving you concrete career paths from individuals once in the same position that you now find yourself. The following alumni will be joining us:
  • Gunnar Liden (’99): Executive Director, Youth Farm
  • Ana Mendoza Packham (’18): Events and Operations Coordinator, Voices for Racial Justice, and Development Director, Women for Political Change.
  • Mark Rohan (’12) Trial Attorney, US Department of Justice
  • Catharine Saint-Croix (’08): Assistant Professor of Philosophy, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities
  • Garey Symington (’18): Customer Success Manager, Queue-it
We’ll begin by hearing about our alumni’s lives and careers after graduation, discussing their views on the relevance of their philosophical education to their careers and job searches, and eliciting their suggestions for philosophy students. Afterwards, there will be opportunities for smaller group discussions between attendees and the alumni!

Please RSVP with Professor Bennett McNulty (mcnu0074@umn.edu), and send him any questions you have. (RSVP not necessary for attendance!)
