After a year of soliciting, reviewing, and editing submissions, the Epistemai editorial board is delighted to announce the publication of the undergraduate philosophy journal’s inaugural issue! Featuring five original essays and three book reviews, volume I of Epistemai showcases the stellar work being produced by undergraduate philosophers across the country.

The Epistemai team would like to thank all of those who have made this possible: Philosophy graduate students Michael Calasso and Max Dresow, who offered helpful comments on a number of submissions; Judy Grandbois, Jessica Gordon-Roth, Sarah Holtman, Valerie Tiberius, Theofanis Stavrou, and Scott Reinardy for their indispensable guidance in working out the logistics of this project; finally, we would like to thank Sarah Alberstein, Androw Ebrahem, Isabella Calsson, Chase Pierre Vernard Torrence, and Naomi Kadish, whose outstanding philosophical work we have had the honor of publishing in our first issue.
