Natalie Sartori Wharton receives Goldy Triumph Award
Natalie Sartori Wharton, CLA Regional Academic Advisor in the Departments of Political Science and Spanish and Portuguese Studies, has received the 2025-2026 Goldy Triumph award from the Academic Advising Network (AAN).
Each year, the Goldy Triumph award recognizes one outstanding mid-range advising professional who has at least five years experience in advising and has spent at least one year at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Goldy Triumph awardees are committed to student success by establishing advising practices that are culturally relevant, adaptive to individual student identities, and effective at addressing systemic barriers. They recognize and address opportunities to more effectively support students by anticipating needs and proactively collaborating with colleagues to improve systems and procedures. Additionally, awardees seek and apply new knowledge and build networks and relationships across campus to enhance understanding and cooperation on campus.
The AAN awards were created to recognize individuals who uphold the purpose and guiding principles of the AAN. Recipients are professional staff who work with matriculated students, help with retention and degree progress, and assist with student academic success.
