On October 29, 2024, The Department of Political Science hosted its biannual signature event: Views from the U, at Cowles Auditorium and via Zoom. UMN political science experts discussed and answered questions on modern politics, the state of the election, the electoral college, political polarization, changing demographics, domestic & foreign policy implications of the election, and more. Presenters included Professors Kathryn Pearson, C. Daniel Myers, Michael D. Minta, Timothy R. Johnson, and Mark S. Bell. Professor Andrew Karch, Chair of the Department of Political Science, moderated the event.
