Sophia Paschke receives CLA Outstanding Service Award

Sophia Paschke, communications and curriculum associate has been honored with the 2025 CLA Outstanding Service Award.

This award recognizes employees who make exceptional contributions to their units and the college while consistently achieving high performance in their core responsibilities.

Since joining the department in November 2022, Sophia has revolutionized our digital presence and administrative efficiency. She successfully managed the transition of over 55 Canvas sites to meet ADA Title II digital accessibility regulations, providing essential training to faculty and graduate students. Her dual expertise in communications and curriculum management has led to increased user traffic, a streamlined quarterly alumni newsletter, and a significant reduction in course cancellations through targeted marketing.

Her proactive "can-do" attitude and dedication to the professional development of student workers exemplify the high standards of service this award celebrates. Through her meticulous management of course scheduling and her commitment to digital accessibility, Sophia has become an indispensable asset to our department.
