A global pandemic, civil uprising, police-based violence, and economic and climate instability impact all of us. The ability to sustain oneself and better understand the ”why” of those around us is of critical importance to bridge gaps of connection and build workplace relationships to have a healthy and productive organizational culture. Leaders and managers who understand the mental, emotional, and physical symptoms that indicate a lack of focus can create work environments that better engage and support employees. This course supports leaders and managers in understanding the science of stress responses in themselves and their employees to create trauma-informed workplaces.
Note: This course does not count within the Psychology major or minor program requirements.

Student Research Support Assistant
We are looking for a new undergraduate to join the LATIS Research team starting this fall semester and continuing into spring and summer (students can also continue beyond if they so wish)! The Student Research Support Assistant position would involve supporting many aspects of LATIS' research support services, such as creating and testing online experiments, assisting with survey & experimental research data collection and preparation, helping manage LATIS’ research workshops, and occasionally assisting with projects in our College of Liberal Arts social science labs. It is important to note that this position is not a research assistant position; it is a research support assistant position. In other words, this position would not act well as a replacement for participation in any of the research labs within the Psychology department. Rather, you would be helping us with the technical aspects of a wide variety of research projects throughout the College of Liberal Arts, including those in the Psychology Department. Any questions about the position or application process can be asked to Sasha Zarins at [email protected].
