PSY 3960 - Undergraduate Seminar in Psychology: Psychology Research Preparation Course - Spots still open for Spring 2025!

Joining a research lab can be a fun way to enhance undergraduate education in psychology. However, getting involved is not always straightforward. This course is designed to help first- through third-year students with all levels of experience learn more about research and develop skills that will support success in future research placements, such as a PSY 5993 course. A permission number is required to enroll; please contact [email protected] for information.

Summer & Fall 2025 UROP Deadline 

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) provides University of Minnesota undergraduates from every college, major, and discipline, the opportunity to partner with a faculty member on research or creative projects. The next deadline to apply for an Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) award is March 17, 2025, for Summer & Fall 2025 projects. Research experience is important no matter what your discipline! The OUR staff is happy to help you get started. Not sure where to start? Go to peer drop-in hours to demystify the research process. They can help you figure out how to get started with research, go over the next steps, and answer general questions.

The Office of Undergraduate Research’s (OUR) Pathways to Graduate School summer program is open for registration with an application deadline of March 3, 2025. Pathways is a 10-week summer research program for undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing graduate school and careers in academia. Bell Summer Camps Staff Opportunities

Bell Summer Camps are fun and enriching day-camp experiences that encourage children to explore their scientific passions and discover new interests. Children entering grades K-8 will experience science and nature like never before with hands-on investigation, visiting museum exhibits, games, creative projects, guided outdoor exploration and much more! Camp dates are June 16, 2025 to August 20, 2025. First-Gen Student Success Intern

The First-Gen Student Success Center is looking for 5 students to serve as First-Gen Student Success Interns during the 2025-2026 academic year. This is a 1-year appointment during which interns will gain hands-on experience in areas such as programming, marketing & outreach, and operations. Additionally, this role prioritizes professional development opportunities and elevates student voices and input about the Center’s offerings. This position is work-study eligible and will remain open until Friday, March 7th. This position will staff the reception desk of the Appleby Hall lounge (Room 27), a shared space for the Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence (MCAE) and the First-Gen Student Success Center (FGSSC). In addition to hosting the lounge space, greeting students, and serving as a campus resource, interns will also be assigned project areas to develop and lead and serve as advisory to the First-Gen Student Success Director. Student Parent Help Center Student Positions

The Student Parent HELP Center, a U of M campus-based program serving low-income U of MN students who are pregnant or already parenting children through their degrees, has an amazing employment opportunity for a qualified undergraduate student. This position is a great opportunity for students planning on a career working with families or other helping professions to get direct, career-related experience as an undergraduate. The position is supervised by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and involves working with a team of other MSWs, MA in Family Education, and Graduate Social Work Interns. Major program preferences listed are high priority, as we want this to be a career-building opportunity for those planning careers in the helping and counseling professions. Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence Student Positions Available

MCAE Student Staff positions provide a great opportunity to assist your fellow student, learn transferrable skills to pad your resume, and have fun all at the same time! From Peer Mentor to MCAE Kick-Off Leader, there are many ways you can get involved with MCAE (and get paid). CLA Student Services Peer Advisor/Office Assistant

College of Liberal Arts (CLA) Student Services Peer Advisors are an integral part of the CLA Student Services team!  The Student Services office provides direct service to students as a key information, intake, peer advising, and referral office for all CLA undergraduate students. In this role, the CLA Student Services office located at 16 Johnston Hall, serves as a pivotal outreach and communication arm of CLA Student Services (CLASS) for students, faculty, staff, the university community, and the general public. Functionally, the CLASS team operates as the "front door" of the College for the majority of our incoming first-year and transfer students. Dr. Jennifer Hughes is recruiting a full-time research coordinator to assist with projects focused on youth suicide prevention and school-based sleep health. This position is located at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH. Stanford IRiSS Predoctoral Researchers Program

The Stanford Institute for Research in the Social Sciences (IRiSS) is seeking Predoctoral Researchers to participate in our 2025-2026 cohort. The Predoctoral Researchers will work under the general supervision of individual faculty in one of the following social science departments: communication, political science, psychology, or sociology. Predoctoral Researchers may assist at any stage of the research cycle, including conducting literature reviews, developing experiments or models, designing & implementing studies, cleaning, coding, and analyzing data, and/or preparing results for presentation or publication. Depending on the research project, Predoctoral Fellows may work with qualitative or quantitative data. Learning Research and Development Center Summer Undergraduate Research Program

The LRDC (Learning Research and Development Center) at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking undergraduate interns to participate in a summer undergraduate research internship program to promote broader participation in training in the Learning Sciences. The program includes professional development seminars and will provide valuable experience for students who intend to apply for graduate programs in the Learning Sciences. The internship program will run from June 1 -July 31, 2025. A stipend and on-campus housing will be provided. Interns will be expected to devote up to 37.5 hours/week to the position. Students should have a primary field of study in an area relevant to the learning sciences. LRDC faculty have primary appointments in the Department of Psychology, and the Schools of Education, Law, and Computing and Information.
