1. Psych Club Slime De-stress Meeting
Wednesday, December 6th, 5:30-6:30pm
N227 Elliott Hall (Skinner Room)
Are you stressed over finals? Come to Psych Club's last meeting of the semester where we will be taking the time to de-stress by making slime, drinking hot chocolate, and swapping relaxing Spotify playlists. Feel free to come for ten minutes or the full hour. Psych Club will be back next semester with more events starting at the end of January.

2. U.S. Secret Service Info Session
Wednesday, December 6th, 3:00-5:00pm
5 Blegan Hall
Join the U.S. Secret Service at an information session including tips concerning resumes, the application process, and current opportunities. The Secret Service employs approximately 3,300 special agents, 1,400 Uniformed Division officers, and more than 1,800 other specialized administrative, professional and technical support personnel. All majors, undergraduates, and graduates are welcome. It is an open house, so students may arrive late and leave early. 3. Should I Go to Law School?

Are you thinking about going to law school? This workshop is for any U of M student considering it. We'll talk about the skills you need, and how to decide if law school's a good fit for you. We'll also provide basic tips about getting into law school, and what you can do to prepare.

5. GCC 5022: The Human Experience of Sensory Loss: Seeking equitable and effective solutions
Spring 2018: Thursdays, 2:30-5:10pm, 3 credits. Taught by Drs. Gordon Legge, Andrew Oxenham, Peggy Nelson, Meredith Adams, & Linda McLoon. Must be junior, senior, or grad student.
This course focuses on the visual, auditory and other sensory pathways that convey information about the world to mind and brain. GCC fulfills a technology & society Liberal Education Theme. 6. FSOS 5150: The African American Family: Exploring Social Contexts, Positive Assets, & Cultural Health
Spring 2018: Tuesdays, 10:15am-1:00pm, 375 McNeal Hall, 3 credits. Taught by Dr. Tabitha Grier-Reed.
This seminar is designed to orient students to the African American experience and understand African American families more deeply. Utilizing legal sociopolitical scholarship and sociohistorical ethnographic research students will explore the lives, narratives, and contexts of African American families, with an emphasis on positive assets and reslience. 9. Fulbright Summer Institutes in the UK
The Fulbright UK Summer Institutes are three-to-four week programmes for US undergraduate students. Participants can explore the culture, heritage and history of the UK while experiencing higher education at a UK university. To learn more, visit the Fulbright UK Summer Institutes website. 10. Apply for a CLA Internship Scholarship to fund your experience
Let CLA help fund your internship! If you land an unpaid internship in fall, spring or summer, apply for one of our $2,000 internship scholarships. Are you dreaming big but need support to make it happen? Apply for the $5,000 Mulhollem Cravens Leadership Scholarship by December 13. Recipients work with a Career Counselor to find a summer internship and receive additional mentoring throughout the summer.

11. UMN M.A. in Applied Child & Adolescent Development (Online Program)
The Institute of Child Development at the University of Minnesota is now accepting applications for its online M.A. in Applied Child and Adolescent Development. The program aims to prepare a new generation of professionals to meet the developmental needs of children in practice and through policy. Students can choose from one of three tracks: Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, Child Life, and Individualized Studies. Applications will be accepted up until January 15th. 12. Full-time Mental Health Therapist Position at Helena Autism Therapy Center
Helena Autism Therapy Center (HATC) in Fridley, MN is seeking a mental health therapist to help children age two to seven diagnosed with ASD. Required education and experience:
-6,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to individuals with
mental illness; OR
-Bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields, including
education, from an accredited college or university AND a minimum of 2,000 hours of supervised experience; OR
-Enrolled in graduate program or completion of graduate program in one of the behavioral
sciences or related fields
