What is your work like? What are your duties?
I assisted in creating a mindset assessment for athletes, and I lead performance enhancement presentations for athletes and coaches.
Managing scheduling across multiple time zones for international and national clients, and also providers. I edited and updated the company website for accuracy, including citation updates for articles. I coordinate calendars for multiple providers and schedule clients based on psychological needs. I conduct detailed intake processes, matching clients with providers based on their needs. I presented performance mindset presentations to athletes and coaches of all ages.
How would you say your psychology degree has helped you with your current job?
Through all the classes I took for my degree, they all helped me tremendously. My cultural psychology class helped me the most because it helped me to communicate with those coming from different backgrounds and help them to find the right providers for the help they were seeking.
In what way has your major complemented your current job?
The scientific research studies that we did helped me in my current position to make informed, educated decisions when handling potential client cases and collaborative opportunities.
How did you find your current position?
LinkedIn.
What advice do you have for our current psych students and recent grads?
You’re never behind when you’re moving at a pace that works for you. Always remember that when one door closes, another always opens - because all it takes is one ‘yes’ or one person to believe in you to reach your goals.
