Why did you choose to come to the University of Minnesota?
I joined because of my interests in Dr. Richard Lee’s Lab's research on international adoption and cultural adaptation of parenting intervention.
What is some of the work you have been doing at the U?
In my most recent qualitative research project, I am interviewing parents who are Korean adoptees, which focuses on how race, ethnicity, and adoption are talked about in these families.
What do you like about living in the Twin Cities?
The Twin Cities area has a good mix of diversity. The University of Minnesota campus also has a fairly diverse student body including international students, and I have witnessed over the past few years the U has put more resources in supporting students of color.
