Alum Receives APS 2022 Spence Award

Antonia Kaczkurkin, PhD, alum from the Clinical Science and Psychopathology Research Program (CSPR) in the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota, was recently awarded the APS 2022 Spence Award. This award recognizes Association for Psychological Science (APS) members who have made significant contributions to the field of psychology early in their professional careers. Kaczkurkin received her PhD in clinical psychology here at the University of Minnesota before moving on to a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and is now an assistant professor of psychology at Vanderbilt University. Her current research focuses on using multimodal methods along with fMRI to develop a deeper understanding of the underlying mechanisms of anxiety and depressive disorders.
