Bill Iacono Receives APS Lifetime Achievement Award

Bill Iacono

William Iacono, professor emeritus, has been awarded the 2026 James McKeen Cattell Fellow Award for his lifetime contributions to psychological science. This award is presented by the Association for Psychological Science (APS), recognizing members whose lifetime of research has profoundly shaped the field and has addressed a critical issue in society. A pioneer in neurobehavioral impact in mental disorders, Iacono is renowned for his groundbreaking twin-family research on the development of mental disorders, endophenotypes of schizophrenia and problematic substance use, and the scientific basis of the physiological detection of deception.
