Cheryl Olman Receives UMN Exemplary University-Community Partnership Award

Cheryl Olman

Cheryl Olman, faculty, was recognized for her community engagement with the 2025 University of Minnesota Exemplary University-Community Partnership Award.  Olman’s engagement with Murray Middle School and her vision for combining her Grand Challenges course with Murray’s E2: Environment Immersion Inquiry Elective was selected for the award. Together, both courses provide a better education for their students than either could separately.

This award recognizes one project or program annually for an exemplary, community-university partnership that embodies the University of Minnesota’s definition of public engagement. Olman will be recognized alongside other award recipients during an award luncheon on April 29, 2025.
