Jessica Arend on How Campus Climate Micro-Grants Support Neurodiverse Initiatives at the UMN

Jessica Arend

Jessica Arend, graduate student, discusses their experience with the University of Minnesota’s Office for Equity and Diversity (OED) funding for campus-centered projects through Campus Climate Micro-Grants in a Minnesota Daily article

Arend, along with 6 other Tri-Psychology graduate students (Kate Carosella,  Adrienne Manbeck, Mirinda Morency, Caroline Ostrand, Elizabeth Shaver, Shay Williams, and Marvin Yan), received one of the 2023-24 micro-grants for Accessibility for Neurodiversity, Disability, and Chronic Illness (ANDI). This project aims to provide community and learning opportunities to neurodiverse graduate students on campus. Arend shares that these grants provide financial support that other funding could not cover, as well as additional resources for the project.
