Liz Szanton Receives Two Research Grants

Liz Szanton, graduate student, has received the 2025 APAGS/Psi Chi Junior Scientist Fellowship and the American Psychological Foundation Springfield Research Fund Grant (with her undergraduate advisor, Dr. Ryan Lei).

The APAGS/Psi Chi Junior Scientist Fellowship recognizes outstanding research-oriented first and second-year graduate students, providing them with funding to help begin successful research programs or projects. This fellowship provides $1,000 to support direct research costs.

The Springfield Research Fund Grant from the American Psychological Foundation provides $20,000 in funding for studies on current LGBTQIA+ topics, aiming to challenge harmful stereotypes and reduce misinformation that leads to bias and discrimination.
