NIH T32 Grant Renewed for Principal Investigators Monica Luciana and Scott Vrieze
Congratulations to Monica Luciana and Scott Vrieze, who were recently awarded a renewal of their National Institutes of Health T32 grant entitled "Training in genetic and neurobehavioral mechanisms of addiction."
For the past five years, Luciana and Vrieze have led and administered this T32 grant, which provides tuition, full stipend, and research funds for graduate student and postdoctoral associate training. The five-year renewal they received will provide nearly two million dollars to support such trainees in the Department of Psychology in this critical area of study.
Monica Luciana, PhD, Distinguished McKnight University Professor and Distinguished University Teaching Professor in the Department of Psychology, director of the Brain and Behavioral Processes Laboratory, and a principal investigator in the Minnesota Center for Twin and Family Research (MCTFR) at the University of Minnesota.
Scott Vrieze, PhD, Distinguished McKnight University Professor, director of the Vrieze Genetics Laboratory and a principal investigator in the Minnesota Center for Twin and Family Research (MCTFR) at the University of Minnesota.
