Psychology Faculty and Students Present at the Computational Psychiatry Conference

Iris Vilares and members of her Decision-Making LabNicola Grissom and members of her NeuroGOAL Lab, and Angus MacDonald III and members of his TRiCAM Lab all participated in presenting their posters at the Computational Psychiatry Conference on July 16-18 at the McNamara building at the University of Minnesota Conference Program.

Over the past decade, computational methods have rapidly expanded in mental health. This growth has brought together various fields like psychology, psychiatry, neuroscience, AI, machine learning, neuroimaging, and pharmacology, all with the shared goal of improving mental health outcomes. While these disciplines bring different perspectives, Computational Psychiatry seeks to bridge the gaps between them, fostering collaboration and shared understanding. This conference aims to create a platform for meaningful conversations between theorists, neuroscientists, and clinicians, inspired by interdisciplinary efforts like NeurIPS and RLDM.
