SEED Scholar: Manyi Ayuk

Headshot of Manyi Ayuk
The Sue W. Hancock SEEDs of Change Awards are given out each year to undergraduate juniors and seniors who are committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion through their academic achievement, community outreach, engagement, and leadership.

One of 2020 SEED’s scholars was Manyi Ayuk, a senior getting her B.S. in Psychology. Ayuk’s undergraduate research experience ranges from exploring racial, ethnic, and minority stress to antimicrobial resistance interventions in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Ayuk has been actively involved at the University since starting her education. Throughout her time here, she has participated in the President’s Emerging Scholars Program, the Black Student Union Board, and the Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence. She is a mentee of Dr. Richard Douglass.

Hear more about her story as a Cameroonian American and her work in advocating for social change.

Congratulations, Manyi, and thank you for your commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts!
