Vanessa Anyanso 2024 SEED Award Recipient
Congratulations to Vanessa Anyanso, graduate student, for being awarded the 2024 Graduate and Professional SEED Award. The Scholarly Excellence in Equity and Diversity (SEED) awards honor underrepresented undergraduate, graduate, and professional students for their outstanding work in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion while at the University of Minnesota and in the community.
Anyanso who is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and Interdisciplinary Doctoral Fellow is currently working on her dissertation which explores how the Strong Black Woman schema is conceptualized and relates to mental health outcomes for Black women from different ethnic backgrounds..
The award ceremony took place on Thursday, November 14, 2024.
Vanessa Anyanso, graduate student in counseling psychology in the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota. She is a member of the Familee Lab and is advised by Prof. Rich Lee.
