The Center for RIDGS Studies and the Ethnic Studies Coalition will co-host an Ethnic Studies Minnesota Teacher Co-Mentorship Program during the 2025–2026 school year. We’ll be utilizing a co-mentorship approach that centers collaboration, learning, and relationship-building.
This is a community-led program where ethnic studies educators from different experience levels come together to share knowledge, strengthen practice, and grow the network of practitioners across MN. We'll meet once a month—alternating between large group convenings and smaller, participant-led learning pods. Participants will receive a stipend for their time and contributions, and we’ll spotlight guest speakers throughout the year.
Whether you're a veteran educator or just getting started with Ethnic Studies, this space is for you. We aim to flatten hierarchies of learning, build community, and create collective capacity for transformative ethnic studies work in Minnesota schools.
This program is part of the RIDGS Ethnic Studies Initiative and funded in part by the Minnesota Humanities Center with money from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund that was created with the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
