Join us and dive into ethnic studies, bridging ethnic studies knowledge from K-12 to Higher Ed and exploring lesson plans from the RIDGS ethnic studies database. Any members of the higher ed community (including staff, faculty, and students) and the K-12 community are welcome to attend to learn how we can work together on supporting ethnic studies teaching.
We will discuss the current policy landscape of K-12 Ethnic Studies in Minnesota, and review some of the lesson plans RIDGS is creating with teachers to show what K-12 Ethnic Studies looks like in the classroom and to request your input on potential additional strategies or topics.
