Dr. Laura Garbes (Assistant Professor of Sociology) will discuss her new book, Listeners Like Who? Exclusion and Resistance in the Public Radio Industry, which examines how public radio was formed as a white racialized institution. Through in-depth qualitative interviews, Listeners Like Who? shows the complex cultural work that public radio professionals of color have done to expand who the network is for.
She will be joined by discussants:
