Ethnic Studies Minnesota Teacher Mentorship Program

For the 2025-26 School Year

The Ethnic Studies Minnesota Teacher Mentorship Program is a community-led, co-mentorship program where ethnic studies educators from different experience levels come together to share knowledge, strengthen practice, and grow the network of practitioners across MN. We'll meet once a month—alternating between large group convenings and smaller, participant-led learning pods. Participants will receive a stipend for their time and contributions, and we’ll spotlight guest speakers, content experts, and artist-educators throughout the year.

Whether you're a veteran educator or just getting started with Ethnic Studies, this space is for you. We aim to flatten hierarchies of learning, build community, and create collective capacity for transformative ethnic studies work in Minnesota schools.

This program is part of the RIDGS Ethnic Studies Initiative and funded in part by the Minnesota Humanities Center with money from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund that was created with the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
