Phyllis Moen: Rosabeth Moss Kanter Distinguished Center Award Recipient

Emeritus professor Phyllis Moen was selected by the Organizations, Occupations, and Work (OOW) Section of the American Sociological Association for this distinguished career award.

This award is presented annually by the American Sociological Association’s (ASA) Section on Organizations, Occupations, and Work (OOW). It honors scholars for outstanding, long-term contributions and broad scholarly impact in the fields of organizations, occupations, and work. The Committee noted Dr. Moen's influence on how scholars understand the work–family interface, work-time arrangements, and life-course dynamics in employment, while combining theoretical innovation with rigorous empirical research.
