Edelstein Fellows Program Information
Graduate student training and research has been at the heart of the Edelstein Family Foundation’s commitment to the American Mosaic Project (AMP) since its inception. Indeed, the “Edelstein Fellows” program has provided direct support of graduate students from diverse backgrounds who work in the core areas of race, religion, anti-Semitism, and diversity. In the past five years alone, the Foundation has provided substantial educational support and research experience to eleven different graduate students in the Sociology department, and this isn’t even to mention the additional dozen or so who benefited from working on the American Mosaic Project research team before that.
Support from the Foundation for graduate students has included year-long fellowships in students’ first year as well as fellowships for summer research support and collaborative research projects with the principal investigators using American Mosaic Project data.
