The graduate students of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese annually host a conference in which graduate students from across the country and internationally gather to present and discuss their research in the broad fields of Hispanic and Lusophone Literatures, Cultures, and Linguistics.  The conference features two plenary talks from leaders in these fields, as well as a forum-style event such as a round table or movie screening with discussion.  Finally, the event includes several social opportunities in order to foster the development of professional networks and relationships with keynotes and other conference participants.
