To find drop-in hours and instructions, or to set up an appointment, please go to our advising page on the Spanish and Portuguese Studies Department website.
Make a Google Hangout or Phone Appointment
Spanish and Portuguese Studies appointments will be held via Google Hangout or phone. Available appointments can be seen at this link. If you elect the phone option, we will call you from a restricted/private phone number. If you can not find an available appointment time, please email spadvise@umn.edu.
Zoom drop-in hours
Drop-ins will be held via Zoom during specific times. Students must have either installed the Zoom for Meetings Desktop App or the Zoom Mobile App in order to attend drop-in hours. If you do not have access to the internet, please call 612-624-9348 and leave a message with a return phone number. We will call you back as soon as possible.
During drop-in hours, go to our Zoom site and enter the waiting room. An advisor will meet with students in order of how they entered the waiting room.
Drop-in hours will be updated weekly.
Writing Center
The Writing Center hours (posted here) will be offered online only from September 14 - December 18. If you have any additional questions, please contact spwrite@umn.edu or spanport@umn.edu.

Tutor Lab
The Tutor Lab hours will be offered online only from September 14 - December 18. To meet with an Instructor, navigate to our virtual zoom appointments during one of our scheduled hour
