Alumnus Applies Data Expertise to Forecast PPE Needs in West Virginia

Statistics alumnus Brad Price is playing a key role in helping West Virginia fight the coronavirus

Brad Price, who obtained his PhD from the school in 2014 under advisors Charles Geyer and Adam Rothman, is forecasting West Virginia’s personal protective equipment needs so the National Guard can properly equip its healthcare workers. Price and his colleagues at the John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University are using data to serve the entire state and make sure there are sufficient N95 masks, surgical masks, gowns, gloves and types of eye protection to go around. Read the full story.
