Recruit CLA Students
CLA Career Services coordinates on-campus recruiting events for College of Liberal Arts (CLA) students during fall and spring semesters. Employers have multiple options for recruiting CLA candidates on campus. Below are some of your options. If there are other ways you'd like to recruit CLA students, contact CLA Employer Relations at firstname.lastname@example.org with your ideas.
You can request on-campus interview space for full-time positions that require a bachelor's degree, or for internships that require students to be working toward a liberal arts degree. We encourage you to submit on-campus interview requests early, because space on campus fills quickly. To request an on-campus interview date, create an account in GoldPASS and submit the 'Add New Interview Schedule' form through the 'Interview On Campus' tab.
Note: Before requesting a date, check the University of Minnesota's academic calendar (choose 'Twin Cities' and the year) to avoid selecting a date during student breaks. In addition, after you've conducted on-campus interviews, please report your hiring results to CLA Employer Relations at email@example.com.
Information sessions are a way for you to provide students with an overview of your organization and information about the jobs or internships you have available. If you'd like to host an information session for CLA students, we can help promote the event to students. We recommend you reserve space through Coffman Memorial Union for your information session. Contact CLA Employer Relations at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss promotion options for your session.
Reserve a table in Coffman Memorial Union to promote your opportunities to students. Coffman Memorial Union is the main student center for the Twin Cities campus where you can meet students from all University of Minnesota colleges. To reserve a contact table, contact Coffman Memorial Union directly. After you do so, let CLA Employer Relations to know at email@example.com. We'll be glad to help promote your visit to CLA students.
The University of Minnesota has hundreds of active student organizations. Contact these student-run clubs to inquire about presenting at one of their meetings or to co-host an event. There are a number of student organizations connected specifically to the College of Liberal Arts students. You can find a list of all University of Minnesota student organizations through Student Unions & Activities.
