The College of Liberal Arts, in partnership with generous collegiate benefactors, is proud to offer a multitude of scholarship awards to admitted transfer students. Scholarships vary in requirements, but most are awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need.
Transfer scholarships are awarded to students who transfer into the College of
Liberal Arts in fall 2018. Transfer scholarships are awarded in the spring term to use the following academic year. For awarding purposes, you must complete at least 24,
but no more than 90, semester credits by fall 2018 and enroll in the College of Liberal Arts as a transfer student in fall 2018.
The application for Transfer Student Scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year will open on November 13, 2017 and have a priority deadline of April 6, 2018 at midnight. Award notices will be sent to scholarship recipients starting in May 2018.
You must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher in all college coursework. You must also officially declare a CLA major and intend to pursue a degree from the College of Liberal Arts. If you plan to complete your undergraduate program in a different college (e.g., Carlson School of Management, College of Biological Sciences, etc.), you are not eligible for this scholarship.
Students completing the Application for the College of Liberal Arts Transfer Student Scholarships are automatically considered for all of the following awards for which they are eligible.
Charles & Myrtle Stroud Scholarships
Charles & Myrtle Stroud Scholarships provide one year of scholarship support for transfer students. If you are awarded this scholarship, you will receive approximately $3,000 for the 2018-2019 academic year. Your award is considered based on academic merit and indicated financial need, with some consideration given to your co- or extracurricular involvement.
